I wore these boots for running around town all weekend and found them supportive, cushy, and the wedge adds style without sacrificing comfort. Reviews on SOREL's site say to size down, but I chose my normal size so they'd be comfortable with thick socks. I've found some SOREL boots in the past to be hard to get on and narrow at the throat line, but these were easy to slip on and there aren't any seams to cause rubbing or hot spots. The look is modern and bold and surprisingly versatile; the Joan of Arctic Wedge Mid Boot can be over or under jeans, and even styled in a grunge/utilitarian manner with leggings or tights and a casual dress.

I know I'll be showing off my SORELstyle this fall and winter with these boots; you can do the same and win! 1. I love the entire outfit! I just bought a denim shirt and black leggings to be a “go-to” weekend wear and was trying to decide on footwear. I am definitely going to check these boots out. thanks!

  2. Those are some damn fine boots! I’d wear a flatter version as I do a *lot* of walking in the weekends, but I’d definitely snap up something in a similar style.

  3. I was so sad last year when these boots sold out, so I’m thrilled they’re back. Even though I have already spent a load on boots this fall, I will be ordering the mids. Thanks, Ali!

  4. I absolutely adore the look of these boots and, there’s no hiding the fact they will keep you safe in the ice and snow of winter!! I expect to see you wearing these quite a bit with your jeans, slacks or leggings.
I discovered Sorel boots a couple of years ago when I had major foot surgery and needed a good, comfortable and stylish boot to wear throughout the winter. I found them at DSW and wore them out. A little pricey, but worth every penny.

  5. I know the post was about the shoes, but can you tell me where you got that shirt? I love the wash and the way it fits across the chest without being huge everywhere else to accommodate it. It looks perfect. I usually end up with shirts that are too big so I can button the chest without gaps. Or, I have to leave them open with a t-shirt underneath. I’d love to wear a shirt by itself.

    1. Both shirts are from Gap; the denim shirt I got this spring and it’s an XL; the L fits but it can gape and was tight on the upper arms. This ends up being a bit big in the torso, but I usually wear it tied or tucked in. 🙂
