Coming in the New Year…

I have tried a bunch of new products so will be writing about them!

The plan is by March to have a setup with tripod for better pics (though I said that last year, didn't I?)

I will writing a bit more, instead of just posting pictures and mentioning products.  A bit more about me and my reasoning behind what I buy, why I buy it, where I wear it, etc.

A little less new clothing than usual – we're living on only one steady income and I need to be realistic.  Will be doing more thrifting, upcycling, clothing swaps and such.  Getting back to basics with less crazy stuff and more simple elegant pieces that work with multiple things and look stylish without trendy.

Let me know what you would like to see – it's a new year, a new decade and I'd love to give this blog a new feel!

  1. Hey, I have really enjoyed your blog and I hope that 2010 is much smoother for you than 2009 was. I was intrigued by you posts in which you mentioned the wide ranges of sizes that you have been. I was at my heaviest weight ever last summer, and since then have lost weight. I am trying to lose even more weight. I would like to see more posts about how to stretch one’s wardrobe during weight fluctuations.

  2. I am glad to see you back posting! I would like to hear more about how you have been shifting to a simpler lifestyle while still maintaining your style. You inspired me to get a divacup and other changes that have improved my life and saved me money. Would like to see more of how you are going to work with your current wardrobe while remaining updated because that is what I am trying to do. Thanks!

  3. Love your ideas so far. I’d like to see more about your shoe collection, why you buy certain brands, how to get the most bang for your buck, etc.

  4. I love your product reviews and seeing your daily outfits. I think it would be interesting to see more on the DC area and hear more about your experience living there. I also think it would be great to hear more about your experiences as a working mom and how you juggle everything & still find time to look good.

  5. Happy New Year! I recently found your blog via Mrs. Catherines blog. Because you are a new mommy, I would add a section about dressing nicely comfortably to care for your little one. I know I wish someone had informed me what to do when my children were younger…I would have done it! Although they are a little older now, I still find myself doing a google search on how to build a mommy wardrobe…owning pieces that are stylish durable and practicle! Blessings to you for the New Year!

  6. Hi Allie, welcome back! I really enjoy your product reviews so I’m looking forward to more of those. Of course the outfit of the day is always good too. I like to see what you’re wearing because it gives me ideas of what I can do with my own wardrobe. I would love to hear more about you and your family too.

  7. Allie,

I am so happy to know that you will be back to posting! I have missed your blog posts a ton this past few months. While dh and I are blessed to be living on two salaries, we resolved to spend less, save more, and work with what we have. This includes our wardrobes – an area where both of us like to spend.
I have been steadily cutting back the last few months and learning to work with what’s in my wardrobe, but I’d love to see your take on using basics in new, unexpected ways. Best wishes for a fabulous new year! Cheers!
