I just got this top Friday and can see myself wearing it in so many ways. It's matte jersey with a double-layer front and was on sale at Ann Taylor. Matte jersey is great for travel as it doesn't wrinkle and dries quickly; this would look great under a suit, with a flippy skirt, a maxi skirt, and work trousers. Today I felt like I needed more than a pop of color so I decided to pair with neon cropped jeans. Black shoes seemed too harsh, nude shoes looked goofy, so I went with my favorite neutral – leopard. Go hard or go home, right?

  3. like the colors together. not a fan of those pants on you, don’t think they flatter your figure.

  5. I do the “denim dance” in them. I usually go a touch too small, but then I squat, do lunges, sit, etc in them so they end up stretching to my shape. Then I can see if they truly will fit. Also, I pull up my legs at the knee before sitting like men do to not have the knees bag out and give fabric for the thighs and rear. Even so I do have jeans occasionally end up so stretched out come end of the day that I could take them off without unbuttoning. Heavier denim holds its shape better than lighterweight denim when it comes to stretch.

  6. Question for you: How do you deal with spandex when shopping for clothes? I have a problem in that I buy jeans that fit well in the dressing room, but after wearing them for an hour or so I have to keep pulling them up. It’s an issue with my most recent pair of Levi’s and Talbots jeans.

It’s nearly impossible to find jeans without some form of stretchiness built in, so what works to find jeans that still look good at lunch? Currently I just wash and dry after each wearing, but it doesn’t get me more than 2 hours of fit (at best). I notice you wear jeans with stretch, so do you have the same problem or is there a rule of thumb to apply when selecting them?

  8. I have two pairs of heels like this since my Nine West ones really should be retired and these are the replacements. Pointy low heel almost-flats, strappy platform heels, platform round-toe pumps, and these. I think that’s it for my leopard shoes! 🙂

  9. That top fits fabulously as it criss crosses your bustline.  And, the shoes, what can I say, I love them!  How many pairs of leopard shoes do you own now?  You have convinced me that they are the best neutral shoes to wear with anything.
