It's funny when you're removing weight, you don't really notice the body changes until you try on something you haven't worn in a while. I wore almost this same outfit back in February and it's amazing how differently these pieces fit now! I really think these pants are now a very strange fit on me, probably will be the last time you see me wear them unless I find it not too costly to alter.

On Twitter, I said I would share pictures from this weekend but I left the cord for my personal camera at home. Tomorrow I promise!

  1. Last night I saw the client we celebrated; we had not seen one another face to face in several months. She said I looked different and must have, “lost a helluva lot of weight” because she hardly recognized me! Wow, that felt good to hear! 🙂

  2. Yeah, you have definitely hit that second level of weight loss, when you’ve gone beyond that first rush of people noticing that you’ve lost weight, to the next when you start to look completely different. I bet people are starting to call you “thin” now. You look FAN-tastic.

  3. Would your leopard pumps have been too much?  Congratulations on the continued weight loss – Inspirational.  And you are not compulsive about it either.

  4. I think the top tucked in makes the belly actually look smaller because it emphasizes the fact that I have a bit of curve. I have worn this blouse untucked, but then it just goes straight from boobs to hips with no indent. 🙂

  5. You look so good and glamour.  You inspire me every day.  Je fais  maintenant des agencements de couleurs que je n’osais pas porter avant. J’aime bien car tes looks sont classiques mais tu ajoute toujours une petite touche spéciale!

  6. You look amazing!  I just recently discovered your blog, and have been paging backwards.  Your hard work is really paying off and today’s outfit is one of the most classic and flattering I’ve seen!  Keep sharing your outfits of the day, and your take on real-life fashion – you are an inspiration!  ~Martha

  7. I am always afraid to tuck my shirt in, for fear my “mommy tummy” will show. You always look so svelte with your shirt tucked in. I love the skinny leopard belt, must find one asap!

  8. Yup.  Those pants are officially TOO BIG!  Grin.  And you look absolutely gorgeous in emerald green, and the cobalt and leopard accents are perfection.  This outfit is so simple, and yet so well-constructed.

This morning, I put on a dress and thought “wow, this is kinda big.”  And then I put on my belt, and it went down 2 loops.  Whoa.

  9. I often think about them while lying in bed after hitting snooze. This morning I was thinking… I want to wear one of these silk shirts. What with? My new leather skirt? No, too cliche. Maybe with my winter white jeans? No, too Housewives of Beverly Hills. I remembered this outfit from February so I went with that as a basis, and played with accessories.

I don’t have a ton of clothing, so it makes it easier to combine outfits. Also much of my wardrobe works with one another for easy mixing and matching. I sometimes plan in advance, but usually it’s in the morning and I like the creative/short timeframe aspect of it!

  10. Hi just wondering how long it takes you to chose your outfit for the day – Do you plan a week at a time or just wing it?? Thanks!

  11. You look great!  I can definitely see the difference between the two times you wore that outfit.  One thing that I love to do while losing weight is compare pictures of myself in the same outfit overtime, it really helps to see the difference. I really love that green blouse too!

  12. Well I think that a colorful bag can be far more versatile than a classic black or brown one because it really doesn’t have to match! It’s like red shoes – you can wear red with an outfit that has nothing else red because it is a purposeful non-matching pop of color. I find leopard to be a similar item – an unexpected neutral and accent, something you wouldn’t think matches but does because it’s a purposeful choice.

Having a piece that is an obviously purposeful not matching can really add depth and personality to an ensemble. Bright colors like red, blue, purple, and green are great choices for bags and shoes and belts because of this. 🙂 I think this is a great post topic, one I can go into in more depth! Thank you!

  13. I’ve been looking for a kelly green blouse in this color. For some reason, I love that combination of a leopard print anything against kelly green.

    So cute.xo

  14. Hi Allie
Could you help me understand why a purple bag, works with a green blouse? Is it because of the jewel tones of each piece? Also, your choice of the belt and necklace are unusual to me. Could you help me understand that choice also, please? Understand I am NOT bagging on you…I like the look, but if I understood why it works, I could make those choices myself ! 🙂
