Ugh, another rainy day in DC! My old raincoat from LOFT is now too big – totally swimming in it. I recently ordered this trench in black from Nordstrom and wish I ordered it a week sooner so I could wear it today!  Instead I made do with an umbrella and a cozy scarf!

My hair is finally getting used to the new cut (got last Wednesday) – this morning I let my hair air dry sans product, then did big sections with a curling iron, a bit of Elnett to set.  So far so good on this soggy yucky day!

Another busy work day, and heading into a busy evening!  I will be at Simply Soles in Georgetown from 6-8 for the Presenza media event.  Will you be there?

This is such a classic and chic outfit, I especially like the way the stripes peek out of the sleeves of the jacket.

Yes! These are from the Cole Haan line with Nike technology – not like slippers, but very comfortable for such a high heel!

I haven’t visited your blog for a while, and barely recognized you. You are transformed!

You look great. I wish my hair dried naturally sans product it looked that good. Even with help from a curling iron it doesn’t look like that!

Those are REALLY cute shoes. Are they comfortable?

Wow! I haven’t seen you for a couple of days and your hair is fabulous! You didn’t love the new cut at first? Your whole outfit rocks and of course — the lips!

This outfit nicely illustrates your advice that black and white need to be integrated with other pieces, just like other colors. The striped shirt unites the black and white solids. I’ve started being more aware about slapping black together with everything, although I still do it.

Great minds! 🙂 I actually ordered two and was going to return it… but after wearing I am thinking of storing the second one to have if this one shrinks, fades, etc.

looks great!! I miss wearing stripes, but my post baby belly won’t allow it yet!!

I already had the trench I own altered once, if I do it again it won’t even have a proper shape. The price of the new one is pretty nice, I hope it looks great on once I get it!

This black and white ensemble is so chic.  I outgrew my favorite trench and had to buy a new one.
