Sunday: Weekend Warrior

Top: Ann Taylor
Shorts: Target, self-distressed using this video (similar)
Sandals: Softspots
Necklace: eBay (similar)
Bracelets: Nordstrom, Ann Taylor, Lauren Ralph Lauren, c/o Soft Surroundings
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

Yesterday we had friends over for “church.” We had brunch which extended into dinner which went into a post-dinner walk which ended up being a beer at our neighborhood cafe. I picked up this sweater at Ann Taylor last week during the Friends and Family event – I had admired it online in orange, but when I tried it on in the store it just looked a mess. I decided to try it in this color, and by accident picked up a Medium. Going down a size was exactly what this top needed! I can see myself wearing it with white jeans, and come fall with a pair of vintage denim, or with ivory trousers and pearls.

And for those who keep asking me to show my “natural” hair, here it is in all its glory. I showered the night prior, added some Frizz-Ease Sheer while wet and went to sleep. In the morning I gently brushed out the tangled ends and left as-is.  The more humid the day, the better it behaves au naturel.

Love your freckles! And the gloss you are wearing is fabulous! I love having a natural wave to my hair. I appreciate the tips on the frizz eeze and detangler spray. I’ve been using this smoother from Aveda, but it’s super expensive!

LOVE EVERY BIT of this outfit.
I have never wanted to own cutoffs before, but you are making me re-think that.

I mainly stayed inside – an occasional visit out to the covered part of the deck and didn’t go for a walk until almost sunset. 🙂

Love the hair! Don’t know how you didn’t melt in that shirt this past weekend. It was torturous up here in Philly!

Love, love, love your hair au-naturale!  Regarding the Ann Taylor top, I bought several sweaters during the winter that were in that similar style–HUGE!  Plus, to add to the agony, they just barely came to my waist!  Luckily, they are good to wear with a cami or light t-shirt but, I have to admit, I am not a big fan of this style.

You look really beautiful here. The whole wonderful thing of having your photographer be your husband really shines; you look relaxed and loved. Do you remember in stories when the woman is described as having long tumbling hair; well, your hair tumbles here with all that great body!
