Thursday was Bring Your Emerson to Work Day…

Birthday 012810 002
My husband and Emerson showed up right after the Webinar finished so I could give them a tour of my office (and show off my baby).  I locked my computer and let her go crazy on the keyboard and she LOVED it.  My husband brought me a gorgeous floral arrangement of roses and snapdragons (my favorite).  We left work and went to our local sushi spot for Happy Hour:

Emerson loved the sushi rice and we also gave her some miso soup, and some avocado and cucumber rolls.

We came home, my sister came by a little later with carrot cake (another favorite) and we hung out for a bit until I was glamorous enough to fall asleep on the couch prior to 10pm.

It was a good birthday!

    SO CUTE.

I also love that you’re feeding her new foods to try, instead of saying: she’ll hate it, let’s not bother

I’d make my (future) kids try everything!

    Happy happy birthday ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Adorable! My baby (now 16) loved going to sushi restaurants with us. To this day, she loves eating raw, cubed tofu — go figure! Emerson is such a doll!

  4. I’m a new reader. I’m really enjoying your blog and I hope you continue with it. You’re a real momma like I am, pulled in a million different directions, and yet somehow managing to look fabulous (and it’s about much more than just your clothes). I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday!!!
