What I Repurchase Every Sephora Sale

Sephora doesn't have sales often, but when they do they are worth checking out. Starting today through November 6, 2023, is the Sephora Savings Event. Sephora only has a sale this big three times a year, and this is the big sale before the holiday season (AKA time to glam and time to gift). My sister Debbie (AKA my beauty guru) shared the items she repurchases every single Sephora sale in time for the Sephora Savings Event.

What is the Sephora Savings Event?

The Sephora Savings Event is an annual sale each year around the end of October to the beginning of November where depending on what you buy and what “status” you are with the free Sephora Beauty Insider program, you can save up to 30%. This is a popular sale where folks stock up their virtual shopping carts in advance of the Sephora Savings Event, ready to buy the latest and greatest, but more to stock up on beauty, skincare, haircare, wellness, and home favorites for a price lower than one can find most anywhere else. Use promo code TIMETOSAVE to participate in the Sephora Savings Event.

What is the Sephora Beauty Insider Program?

If you shop at Sephora, even if it's only once in a blue moon, it's worth signing up for the Sephora Beauty Insider program. Available to residents of the United States and Canada age 16 or older, the Beauty Insider program is not one that will constantly spam you with texts and emails, you do not need a card in your wallet or keychain, and you won't be kicked out if you're on a shopping hiatus.

When you sign up, Sephora just tracks how much you spend. The more you spend, the more points you rack up. Those points don't expire and can be used towards purchase discounts, free samples and mini products, and more. The more you shop, the more perks you receive. And the more of a discount AND the earlier you can shop sales like the Sephora Savings Event.

I am a member of the Sephora Beauty Insider program, as is my sister Debbie. My sister shops Sephora more than I, so she is in a higher tier of the program and can shop earlier than I can. But we both find great benefit in the Sephora Savings Event for stocking up on our favorites, and shopping early for gift sets and holiday presents for beauty-loving friends and family.

If you are not already a Sephora Beauty Insider, you can sign up at this link and immediately participate in the Sephora Savings Event.

When is this Sephora Savings Event?

This year, the Sephora Savings Event is from October 27 – November 6th. However, your tier as a Beauty Insider determines when you can start shopping and how much you will actually save. I am sharing this list of the items my sister repurchases every Sephora Sale now so all tiers of Beauty Influencers can use it as a resource when they shop.

Even if you can't shop now, fill your cart to save time. But don't be surprised if those items end up out of stock. I recommend shopping the Sephora Savings event as early as you can because this IS the sale when folks stock up and things move fast!

What I Repurchase Every Sephora Sale

Debbie’s Sephora Sale Picks

These are the items that I’ve repurchased (sometimes multiple times) and am most excited to try. And really, most of these are repurchases. It’s been a journey, but I now know what I like and know what I’ll use.

This is not an exhaustive list of everything I use or recommend, it’s more just what lives at the top of my brain.

My Picks for Skincare

Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser
Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser

I like a fancy cleanser. CeraVe Hydrating and sweet almond oil will always live in my medicine cabinet, but I like the experience and results from a high-end cleanser. One of my favorite face cleansers is Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser, which is thick and gentle enough to use on my eyes and while it’s a gel, it doesn’t feel drying at all.

Tata Harper Regenerating BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser

My long-time preference for my second cleanse is Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser. I try other products and just keep coming back to this one. It’s a gentle combination of physical and chemical exfoliation. I don’t have sensitive skin and am find with using this every day. It’s expensive, but I don’t feel the need for a weekly exfoliating mask when I use this regularly. Is that really cost effective or is it girl math? I don’t really care; I love this cleanser. I also prefer the small version because with the large glass bottle, it’s almost impossible to get the last bits out.

Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask
Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask

The mask I always have on hand is the Farmacy Honey Potion Plus Ceramide Hydration Mask. It’s warming (but not too much), which is comforting. It changes color as you apply it, which is fun. You’re only supposed to leave it on for 10 minutes, so it’s quick. And my skin just looks pretty after using it.

The other day was total crap and I just wanted to start over. So I washed my face with the Summer Fridays gel and then put this mask on and I was totally renewed and refreshed. I always get the small size of this as well and since I don’t use it every week, that size lasts me from sale to sale.

Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream
Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream

The Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream is the best. It smells amazing, it feels amazing. It doesn’t leave my hands greasy so I can type right after applying without feeling like I’m leaving a film on my keyboard. I get some minor psoriasis-type of bumps on my hands in the winter, and this helps with that almost as much as the stuff my derm prescribed (and smells so much better). And for a fancy hand cream, it’s not even all that expensive.

Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm.
Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm

I also swear by the Jack Black Intense Therapy Lip Balm. I only like the Grapefruit & Ginger, but I know other people like other flavors. I have a tube of this on my desk, in my living room, in my purse. When I get about halfway through one, I buy another. It’s thick and moisturizing, it’s matte and easy to apply. Big fan.

Tower 28 SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer
Tower 28 SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer

Tower 28 SOS Daily Skin Barrier Redness Recovery Moisturizer is very nice. TBH, I’m on the fence about repurchasing because while it’s thick, it’s not quite as thick as I like for the winter. I may not buy during this Sephora Savings Event, but I will definitely be repurchasing in the Spring sale. That day I needed to restart? I put this moisturizer on after I washed off the mask and man, my skin felt amazing. It’s good. And other than this moisturizer, everything else I listed is a repurchase.

My Picks for Makeup

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer
Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I have fallen in love with the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer over the past year and use it every time I wear makeup. It works really well with my super-moisturized face and just kind of smooths out my pores and helps makeup apply beautifully. And I think last longer, though I haven’t done any wear tests or anything. I use it whether or not I wear foundation.

NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer
NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer

I’ve recently switched back to using the NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer. I take the Real Techniques 300 brush, tap it lightly into the pot and essentially erase all my dark spots. I even like it under my eyes (though I do usually add an extra layer of moisture first). Most days I’m just using concealer, no foundation at all. So I’ll start on my dark places, then feather out what’s left on the brush over any areas that are a little red or just need a boost.

PAT McGRATH LABS Skin Fetish- Divine Powder Blush
Pat McGrath Labs Blush

I dabble in cream blush, but my standard will always be powder. And my base blush is almost always Pat McGrath Labs and I wear Nude Venus. It’s the exact same color as Bare Minerals Blonzer in Kiss of Pink, but the Bare Minerals is a bit more shimmery, and I don’t think it lasts as long. But I do also love that blush formula and have it in several shades. Then on top of the PMG blush, I layer whatever I’m feeling that day, usually one of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting blushes or the Dior Rosy Glow blushes (or often both). I don’t need refills of any of these makeup products right now, but I do have NARS Dolce Vita blush in my cart as something fun to try.

Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm
Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm

Something else that looks like fun is the Hourglass Phantom Volumizing Glossy Lip Balm. I’ve totally been influenced with this one between YouTube and TikTok and I can’t wait to try it.

Ami Colé Hydrating Lip Treatment Oil
Ami Colé Lip Oil

One repurchase will definitely be the Ami Colé lip oil in Excellence. It’s this very sheer, cool brown that I love as a don’t-have-to-think-about neutral. I also have this in Bliss, which is a really pretty sheer pink. And I’m tempted to get it in clear because I just love this formula.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel

I’m also buying another Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel. It’s Dipbrow but with the little brow mascara wand and I just find it really easy and enjoyable to use. Usually, I go over my brows with a pencil of some sort and then brush this over it to add some texture, but if I’m in a rush, I’ll use just this and with the tip can fill in my blank spaces well enough.

MAKE UP FOR EVER
Artist Color Pencil Brow, Eye & Lip Liner
Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil

My everyday lip liner is the Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in Anywhere Caffeine. This with one of the Ami Cole lip oils on top and I’m good to go. Though I also have this in Wherever Walnut, which I’ll also use as a blush (blending really well), and Total Taupe, which I’ll also use as kind of a subtle eyeliner. I love playing around with these things.

urban decay moon dust in space cowboy
Urban Decay Space Cowboy

And then I’m fairly obsessed with Urban Decay Space Cowboy. When I want my niece to think I’m fun, I’ll wear it on its own during the day. When I want to go for something super glam, I’ll apply it over a shimmer, like MAC Extra Dimension in Sweet Heat, which at the time that I’m writing this, is 25% off at Nordstrom).

  1. Thank you for the picks! I ordered one of the items above from Tata Harper. A small note – though I can surmise what you mean by ‘girl math’ the expression feels oddly out of place for the tone of this blog. Thanks for reading.

  2. I love Hourglass Veil, too. And it comes in a travel size!

And I have never used a Makeup Forever lip pencil, but I have always liked their eye pencils.
