I chew my nails and cuticles. I’ve tried everything to stop over the years but the only thing for me that worked long-term was getting acrylic tips on my nails. This made the nail impossible to chew, and the nail bed thicker so I can’t get to my cuticles with my teeth. For almost four years I’ve been making the bi-weekly trip to my nail salon to get my nails done.
Rodial reached out and offered to send me a few pieces from their line. I had heard great things about Rodial (and loved seeing them as a mentor on Project Runway Startup) so was excited. Supposedly the products are so effective the reduce the need for plastic surgery. I haven’t been considering plastic surgery but I am interested in products that will keep my skin looking as great as possible for as long as possible.
New Year’s Eve is around the corner. Every year my sister throws an amazing New Year’s Eve bash where sequins are highly recommended. I wore this look last year; not sure yet what sparkly confection from the back of the closet I’ll pull out this year but I’ll be sure to share the outfit on Instagram. So I go whole hog with the glitz, but even for previous years where I counted down to the New Year on my couch in slippers I loved adding some sparkle to my look.
Somehow I got on the Aveda gifting list. I don’t know how but I have been rejoicing for the past few months. Once a month, I get a box in the mail with a couple Aveda products and each time it arrives I squeal for joy. I’ve been an Aveda fan for decades. I used to hide my Aveda products back when I was a trainer for The Body Shop because I didn’t want my colleagues to know I was carousing with the competition (though Be Curly is worth being caught cheating).
