Hrm, can you tell there was a screaming almost-two year old in the car to my right?  Can you tell that before these pictures were taken, I spilled coffee all over the parking lot, managed to strap a squirmy toddler weilding a heavy Thermos sippy cup AND a stuffed tiger AND a cardboard book? Oh, such the glamorous life!

Well the hubby's fancy camera does take better pictures – all he took were these three pics in about 30 seconds, no photo editing done.  Need to work on my posture, and the middle picture really makes me want to go back to my stylist and get REAL bangs!

One thing with weight loss – the pants that used to streeeetch over your belly, well when they don't streeeetch any more, you find that they have gotten a bit stretched out, and the zipper isn't as reliable.  I think I will need to replace these pants because earlier I got up to refill my water bottle and found my zipper had dropped about a half of an inch.  I also noticed this after my commute into work.  Not chic.  These pants are so fantastic – they can be thrown in the washer and dryer and come out looking great, they are stretchy but look professional – totally worth a re-buy!

  1. Hrm, did you click home here, or on another page after reading the full scarf review? Because that is on a different site – due to advertising rules, I have to do all giveaways and reviews of freebies on a different site. Kinda confusing b/c both sites look so very much the same 🙂 When I get around to a new header, that site will have a different one explaining it is the reviews and giveaways site!

  2. Yay for my US twin! And I love your hair today – I cheat with a Bumpit to get mine like that but I love doing it.

Also, don’t know if you’re aware but when you click ‘Home’ at the top of the page, it loads the scarf contest post then a post from 6th December.

  3. That it is – great minds think alike! And I almost wore a belt like you did – we would have been twins on opposite sides of the pond! 🙂

  4. Hi! I have no idea how I stumbled upon your blog but I’m so glad I did!!! I love it. I love seeing what you wear every day- you and I have similar body types and you’ve given me such inspiration. I’m actually trying to purchase the outfit you’re wearing above (or as close as I can get to it) I love reading what you write. I am a 34 year old woman, married, with two children and a full time career and your writing just hits home with me! Thanks so much for the inspiration!!!

  5. A fellow blogger emailed me a trick – take a hair elastic, loop it through the hole in the zipper pull, then attach it to the button on the pants (these pants have a hidden inside button). Quick fix until pants fixed or replaced.

I wouldn’t toss the pants, probably keep as less-nice ones but the zipper replacement is a good idea if it’s not too expensive (pants are great but not the BEST quality). Thank you!

  6. You should have the zipper replaced by a seamstress instead of throwing out the pants. Saves money and you get to keep the pants!

  7. yes with the rest-you look fabu and LOVE the cardi! isn’t it funny how “real life,” i.e., the spilled coffee, the screaming kid(s) don’t always show up in the photos?! You look fantastic and well put together, even though I’m sure you were feeling more “stressed full time working mom!”
Keep up the amazing work, you ARE an inspiration.
