I recently bought this sweater and I must say I am digging it. I am often hesitant about unstructured tops like this, I think they can often emphasize my chest in a bad way, making me look like a linebacker. Ann Taylor gets it right with this one – enough fabric on the shoulders, a lightweight fabric (60% cotton, 40% viscose), an asymmetrical neckline that can be adjusted. Like it with crisp white jeans now, and will love it come fall with a leather skirt and tights or with dark jeans and boots.  And by the way folks, it's currently on sale and Ann Taylor is offering 50% off sale merchandise.  This makes this top only $25.  As always, be sure to shop through Ebates before you go to Ann Taylor so you can get an extra 2.5% cash back on TOP of the sale deal!

  1. You look SO chic in black and white, I love this! That top is really pretty, I’m glad you decided to try it instead of discounting it for being unstructured. It looks fantastic on you!

  2. Hi Allie, You look fabulous.  I haven’t checked in for a while b/c I recently had a baby and stopped checking fashion blogs for a bit.  Yours has always been my fave.  You look great!  I have a question for you.  What are your thoughts on jeggings?  i recently bought a pair from a theory outlet.  but now i’m afraid they are outdate.. thoughts?  I’m tall and liked to wear them before the pregnancy..

  3. Ah, it’s all about the cut and fabric when it comes to white bottoms. I think many people can wear them. I like these because they are heavyweight with a bit of texture so they don’t end up looking like leggings on me. A wider leg on me isn’t flattering, but I find it can be if you are taller or have more of a pear shape. Also a lighterweight fabric can be great for curves because they drape well.

  4. Hi there
I’ve been a reader for a while, but realized that I haven’t ever stopped in to tell you how great (and how much happier) you are looking since your lifestyle changes. Well done!
