While we can all vent and moan about Facebook, it is a wonderful tool for getting back in touch and staying in touch with old friends. It's also great for learning about small charities trying to make a big difference in the world. I've known Amy since high school, and Facebook keeps us connected even though we haven't seen one another in years. Amy recently told me about Headbands of Hope, a philanthropic organization her daughter is involved in.

I thought Headbands of Hope was such a great organization, I just had to this fab fashion for a fab cause. I could ramble about Headbands of Hope, but I think Founder and CEO Jess Ekstrom can do it better:

For every headband purchased from Headbands of Hope, one is given to a girl with cancer and $1 is donated to the St. Baldrick's Foundation to fund life-saving childhood cancer research. Headbands of Hope aims to start with awareness and end with a cure. And if you're wondering about boys, they have started a line called Headwear of Hope so they can help spread hope to all children battling cancer.
