I thought my outfit was pretty cute yesterday but didn't get a picture. My black and white striped scoop tee from Ann Taylor, black pencil skirt from Ann Taylor, my wide black belt with the patent buckle… also from Ann Taylor, and my black peeptoe booties from Miss Sixty.

Today I dressed half-awake. Had a work event last night that lasted pretty late, and it was on the complete opposite side of DC from where I live so a long Metro ride home. If you don't follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you may not know that I got a new phone! I have had this cute little pink flip phone for YEARS but finally bit the bullet and got a SmartPhone. I have a Samsung Transform from Sprint. I have had Sprint since I worked for a construction company and had a Nextel – my contract had run out so I had a pretty opportunity to get a phone for not a heck of a lot. Well this SmartPhone was so fab last night – I was able to use GPS to get to where I needed to go, Googled the address, hit up Twitter and found out why people were camped out on the street, and kept myself entertained on the long ride home!

So anyway, on to today:

Hair is next day, makeup is standard quickie job – I have been using my Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honeyir?t=whaevewomneei 20&l=btl&camp=213689&creative=392969&o=1&a=B0032RMX3U a lot lately and really dig it again.  It looks great with my pale winter face.  And in this picture you can totally see how Emerson loves her Grandma – that's who she is looking at with such joy.  My husband has a shoot today so my mom came over this morning to take me to the Metro and watch E for the day.  I feel so blessed to have my family so close by and involved in Emerson's life!

  2. Kalee, totally. I don’t need lots of apps and games and the ability to watch movies. I want quick access to info.

And Martha, great minds think alike! I was thinking of eBaying this cardi but tried it on and it fits again, and I like it better now than when I originally wore it. Amazing how the body changes after having a kid!

  3. I don’t have a smart phone either! Really like the iPhone so we’re waiting to switch service next summer. I do think they’re ability to get you information quick is what appeals most to me.

  4. Thanks!

And you’re not the last, was out with coworkers last night and only one other of them had a Smartphone. Two still had little flippies like I just retired a couple weeks ago.

Take your time, it’s a dangerous addiction!
